My Secret To Tell
  By: Natalie D. Richards

Rating:
5 Stars ☆☆☆☆☆

This book was by far the best book I have read this year. It has mystery, romance and a little of suspense that defiantly deserves 5 stars. Its about a girl named Emmie that has had a huge crush on a guy named Deacon since they were younger and once they get older she realizes that she likes him so much until something terrible happens with his dad that had him end up in a hospital and the night it happened, Deacon came to Emmies house full of blood and then finds out that Deacon has something to do with his dads hospitalization.

Setting:

This novel was set on the shores of Beaufort, South Carolina where Emmie lived and is set in modern times where everything seems normal. This takes place in a small town where she works with her best friend Chelsea in her dads office.

Characters:

There are many characters but the two most characters that stood out is Deacon and Emmie.
Deacon is a nice guy that cares for Emmie so much but also has a very dark side to him. He has a tough exterior and Emmie don't believe that he could ever do something that would make his dad be in the hospital. Also, the whole town believes he is a trouble maker and thinks hes crazy. Emmie is a 17 year old girl that is smart, kind, and driven and is completely in love with Deacon. She dreams of becoming a marine biologist or a veterinarian and don't want to live the way her own mom did when she was younger, getting pregnant too young.

Plot Events:
- Deacons sister Chelsea called Emmie and told her that her dad is in the hospital and Chelsea don't know who would beat her dad up and when Emmie gets off the phone, Deacon climbs through her window full of blood and don't say one word while Emmie tells Deacon to go in the tub and she washes all the blood patches off him.
- Emmie don't want to believe that Deacon did this so she don't tell anyone for a while and Deacon don't go visit her dad for a long time when he was in the hospital.

Main Conflict:
The problem is that Emmie don't know if she should trust Deacon. The internal conflict is that Emmie don't know how to feel about Deacon being dangerous. The external conflict is that Emmie is having troubles with Deacon.

Recommendation:
I love this book. I defiantly think that any age could read it above 12. Its a good mystery and romantic for anyone's liking. I recommend this book so much. I really hope that you will all love it like I did. This book is fiction with a lot of suspense and reminds me of the book "One Was Lost" its by the same author but kind of has the same plot twits.
